(Gaza City, Palestinian Territories) – What happens when you ignore calls for a cease-fire that your enemy has already accepted?
You absorb hundreds of hits from your enemy’s precision-guided munitions.
What happens when you tell the civilians you’re sworn to protect to stay where they are, even though they’re staying in buildings which house munitions?
You watch with glee as the number of casualties increase, since this is something you can blame on your enemy.
Such is life under Hamas rule, an organization which pursues a fanatical anti-Semitic dream in the annihilation of Israel and every Jew on the planet. Yet its leaders complain when they are attacked – and face possible annihilation themselves.
Day 13 of Operation Protective Edge continued unabated. Thirteen more Israeli soldiers are now dead. More than 100 Palestinian civilians are now dead. And Hamas has even bragged of the capture of an Israeli soldier, though this report could not be verified at press time.
“If Hamas has managed to capture an Israeli soldier, it adds a new unstable dynamic to the military operation,” said a Middle East expert, speaking on condition of anonymity. “On the other hand, we should take Hamas’ proclamations with a grain of salt. After all, these are the people who claim to have developed a weapon so advanced that they shot down Malaysian Airlines MH17 from over 1,200 miles away.
“And these are the people who tried to kill Jews with an explosives-laden donkey.”
The anonymous expert was referring to an incident Saturday involving a new branch of Hamas militants – the Exploding Donkey Martyrs’ Brigades – which sent their Donkey of Terror towards Israeli forces. The weapon was neutralized before it could harm any Israeli or Palestinian.
The donkey was not so fortunate, and its next of kin have yet to be notified.
It is now believed that the Exploding Donkey Martyrs’ Brigades had some sort of assistance from a sister organization, the Kissy-Face Martyrs’ Brigades, though this could not be independently confirmed.
Meanwhile, world powers issued louder calls for a cease-fire.
“President Obama today discussed the possibility of a cease-fire with [Israeli] Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu,” said a White House spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity. “Actually, he used the phrase ‘pretty please’ while requesting Israel stand down.”
Netanyahu refused, stating Israeli operations would cease only when all smuggling tunnels and rocket-launching capabilities are destroyed.
“And the Prime Minister also indicated his computer-hacker brother, Inter Netanyahu, would continue his activities to disrupt Hamas’ command and control centers,” said a White House spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity.
In spite of the facts on the ground, Hamas continues to declare each day a victory against the Zionist Entity.
“With God’s help, we will soon have total victory over the occupiers!” proclaimed a Hamas spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity.
“It’s dangerous to have delusional fanatics in charge of weaponry of any kind, and now we see why,” said a Department of Defense (DOD) spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity. “It’s not unlike Al Sharpton declaring victory after the Tawana Brawley lawsuit.”
In 1987, a grand jury determined that Brawley had made up her story about being attacked by a gang of white men, including Dutchess County Assistant District Attorney Steven Pagones. In turn, Pagones filed a lawsuit against Brawley – and her advisors, including Sharpton – which he won.
After the verdict, Sharpton declared victory.
“Sharpton was delusional then, and he’s delusional now,” said a Rutgers University law professor, speaking on condition of anonymity. “If he’s not the one who covered Brawley in dog feces, he surely knows who did it. Yet he’s never come forth to explain it, and he’s never really had to pay for his lies. And he’s a man of Christ, for Pete’s sake! It’s very sad.”
