(Charleston, WV — July 18, 2016) – After an 80-year absence, West Virginia Delegate Michael Folk (R-WV) apparently wants to re-introduce public hangings in the United States.
And Hillary Clinton (D-NY) is first in line for the gallows.
Speaking like a true Trumpist Brownshirt – or a frothing-at-the-mouth Tea Partyist – Folk recently spoke out against the presumptive Democratic nominee for POTUS. Apparently angry over the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) declining to prosecute Clinton over E-mailgate, he took to Twitter and advocated her murder – in front of an audience:
- “@HillaryClinton You should be tried for treason, murder, and crimes against the US Constitution … then hung on the Mall in Washington, DC”
“Maybe it has something to do with his being from West Virginia,” guessed a political scientist, speaking on condition of anonymity. “I hear inbreeding can make you say and do some stupid things, and I’m sure Folk’s family tree resembles a broom handle.
“But that’s why his being an uneducated Trumpist Brownshirt makes so much sense. After all, it was Squirrelhead Donald who supported incest when he lamented, ‘I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.’
“Oh, yes, and for Folk’s information, he would like to see Hillary Clinton ‘hanged’ on the Mall, not ‘hung’ like his long underwear on his clothesline above his car resting and rusting on a bunch of cinder blocks.”
But advocating for the public execution of an elected official isn’t the only trouble Folk finds himself in. He is a commercial pilot employed by United Airlines; the company is denouncing his tweets and has suspended him while an investigation takes place:
- “The pilot has been removed from flying pending our investigation. We are appalled by his threatening comments.”
But, fired or not fired, the damage is already done.
“Would you want someone so mentally unhinged to be flying you to a destination?” asked an airline industry analyst, speaking on condition of anonymity. “I mean, the statement he made, coupled with his vocation, makes him sound like one of these I-Fundies who commit suicide via airplane for fun. I don’t see how United Airlines keeps him on their payroll without facing a serious backlash from the flying public.
“Quite frankly, with regard to his career as an airline pilot, I believe Folk is [explicative].”
