(Washington, DC — August 2, 2016) – At the Democratic National Convention on July 28, Khizr Khan addressed the gathering with a poignant and heartfelt speech. And had Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump (R-NY) kept his mouth shut, Khan would have had five minutes of fame.
But Squirrelhead Donald can’t keep his mouth shut, so Khan now has had 7,950 minutes of fame – and counting.
Khan stood on the DNC stage along with his wife, Ghazala, as he spoke of his Muslim son, 27-year-old Captain Humayun Khan of the United States Army, who was killed while serving in Iraq on June 8, 2004. Mrs. Khan stood silently to Khizr’s side as he delivered his address.
Mr. Khan offered a scathing rebuke of Squirrelhead Donald’s proposal to ban all Muslims from entering the United States, suggesting that Trump had never read the United States Constitution and offering to loan the anti-Catholic, anti-disabled, anti-Hispanic, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic, anti-veteran, homophobic, hypocritical, misogynistic, narcissistic, pathologically lying, pro-Klan, psychopathic, racist, small-membered, sociopathic, treasonous, xenophobic bully his personal pocket version for his reading pleasure.
Had Squirrelhead Donald kept his mouth shut, the speech would have ended and the name “Khan” would have faded into memory.
But, again, Squirrelhead Donald can’t keep his mouth shut.
Picking up on Mrs. Khan’s silence – and position on the stage – Squirrelhead Donald wondered if she had been purposely restrained from offering any comments of her own:
- “If you look at his wife, she was standing there, she had nothing to say, she probably – maybe she wasn’t allowed to have anything to say, you tell me.”
For the record, the editor of FLATLINE pointed out the same issue, predicting that Republicans would use the appearance of Mrs. Khan’s subservience as a tool to scare average, ordinary, everyday Americans into believing a Muslim horde was poised to take over the country.
And Squirrelhead Donald did not disappoint.
For her part, Ghazala Khan penned an op-ed for The Washington Post explaining that her son’s death is still too painful to discuss, especially on a stage in front of millions of people. Like her husband, she pointed out that Captain Khan made the ultimate sacrifice while Squirrelhead Donald has made no sacrifices.
Once again, Squirrelhead Donald could not keep his mouth shut, telling ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that he has sacrificed as much – if not more – than the country’s fallen soldiers and those who wear the country’s uniform:
- “I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard … I think I’ve made a lot of sacrifices. I work very, very hard. I’ve created thousands and thousands of jobs, tens of thousands of jobs, built great structures. I’ve had tremendous success. I think I’ve done a lot.”
“Donald Trump’s statements to Snuffleupagus show the depth of his lack of empathy,” said a political scientist, speaking on condition of anonymity. “And the only thing Squirrelhead Donald has sacrificed would be the animals involved in his ritual animal sacrifices. Where do you think he got that dead squirrel he wears on his head? Probably drank the blood, too. Sick bastard.”
It’s also worth noting that Squirrelhead Donald has never served in the military. Eligible by age, he received five deferments from serving in Vietnam.
Additionally, it’s worth noting this is not the first time he has slandered veterans. On July 18, 2015, speaking of Arizona Senator John McCain (R-AZ), he stated:
- “He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”
McCain spent over five years as a POW in Vietnam.
And it looks like Squirrelhead Donald isn’t close to being done slandering veterans. Just today, the real estate mogul announced plans for developing Arlington National Cemetery, should he be fortunate enough to win the presidency.
“Mr. Trump believes it would be a great opportunity to build on this historic and extraordinarily valuable piece of land,” said a Trump spokesman, speaking on condition of anonymity. “We’re talking about a golf course for starters. Hotels, casinos – you name it.
“After all, it’s a cemetery, for crying out loud. Mr. Trump feels it needs to be livened up. He did have a chance to visit recently, and quite frankly, the place was dead.”
