About FLATLINE

FLATLINE – or FLATLINEgov in this iteration – offers a satirical look at today’s American government and politics. Articles cover issues at Federal agencies from the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of government. State and local politics are also included.

While FLATLINEgov began publishing on January 6, 2014, it has its roots in a newsletter first published 25 years ago. On December 17, 1998, the first issue of FLATLINE – one double-sided page consisting of three articles and produced on an inkjet printer – was distributed to about 25 people. Today, FLATLINEgov can be viewed and shared around the world at the click of a button.

Sample comments received from loyal readers:

  • “I always look forward to reading your articles!”
  • “I laughed, I cried, it was better than ‘Cats’!”
  • “I haven’t seen anything this awful since that Ronald Reagan film!”
